About ECEBM

The Egyptian Center for Evidence-Based Medicine (ECEBM) was established in Cairo in 2008 as an initiative of dedicated scientists. Our broad aim is to develop, teach and promote evidence-based health care and provide support and resources to anyone who wants to make use of them..

Partnership with the Egyptian Cochrane network

The establishment of a fruitful partnership with the Egyptian Cochrane network is an important way for exchange of ideas, advice and resources. The ECEBM will support authors from Egypt to get involved as authors in the Cochrane Collaboration.

Activities

The ECn will provide a regional focus for the activities of The Cochrane Collaboration in Egypt in order to

promote evidence-based health care
facilitate the production and use of Cochrane Reviews

Get Involved
Membership of The Egyptian Center of EBM and The Egyptian Cochrane network is not based on formal qualifications. There are no membership fees. The key requirements are that you:

have suitable skills (and willingness to learn new ones);
can volunteer some of your time over an extended period;
work as part of a team;
support the aims of the Collaboration; and
share the Collaboration's spirit of goodwill.

Impact of Cochrane evidence

Cochrane reviews have become known internationally as sources of high quality, reliable health information, and other groups have begun to interpret, adapt and disseminate Cochrane reviews and information derived from them.
