The Egyptian Center for Evidence-Based Medicine (ECEBM) was established in Cairo in 2008 as an initiative of dedicated scientists. Our broad aim is to develop, teach and promote evidence-based health care and provide support and resources to anyone who wants to make use of them
Partnership with the Egyptian Cochrane network
The establishment of a fruitful partnership with the Egyptian Cochrane network is an important way for exchange of ideas, advice and resources. The ECEBM will support authors from Egypt to get involved as authors in the Cochrane Collaboration.
The Egyptian Cochrane network (ECn) is a network of the Egyptian contributors to the Cochrane Collaboration. It is a network of dedicated volunteers. The primary role is to provide an opportunity for contributors to The Cochrane Collaboration in Egypt to work together more closely, to support each other and to build on this enthusiasm to expand Cochrane Collaboration activity in Egypt.
The Cochrane Collaboration is an international not-for-profit and independent organization, dedicated to making up-to-date, accurate information about the effects of healthcare readily available worldwide. It produces and disseminates systematic reviews of healthcare interventions and promotes the search for evidence in the form of clinical trials and other studies of interventions.
